The motorcycle rental price depends on the number of days of the tour. OutX owns the rental bikes and has outfitted them specifically for adventure riding. The arrival day and the departure day will not be charged for the rentals.

Motorcycles Rental

RideMex does not charge the motorcycle rental for the day of arrival and departure, only for the actual riding days.

All Motorcycles have skid plates, crash bars, Barkbuster handguards, and Garmin Zumo XT mounts with power cables. If you bring your Garmin, OutX will provide you with the tour's GPX track.

BMW F 900 GS
BMW F 900 GS

The BMW F900 GS is BMW’s latest contribution to the aventure riding world. The stylish bike has an aggressive look, a 105 horsepower 900 cc parallel twin is well balanced and with the Akrapovik exhaust, has a good sound. Outfitted with the Enduro Pro package, the Sachs shock and Showa fork keep the bike planted off road. This is a lighter weight, chain-driven alternative to the BMW 1250 Adventure.

KTM 890 Adventure

The KTM 890 Adventure is considered by some to be the best mid weight adventure bike ever made, especially for off roading. It is nimble, has fully adjustable WP suspension that handles just about anything you throw at it, and plenty of power with just over one-hundred horses. Engineers build this bike for performance and handling for riders who really like going down the roads less travelled.

KTM 1290 Super Adventure

The KTM 1290 Super Adventure R is a beast! Do you need 160 horses? Hell no! Are they useful in the dirt? For acceleration, no! For throwing sand and gravel it can be a blast. When you pull out on the pavement the twin cylinder engine roars and you can blow past most other bikes on the road or pass whenever you need to. For a 550 pound plus bike, the suspension and ergonomics give it great handling in the dirt! The engineers at KTM made the fun factor go through the roof with the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R.

KTM 500 EXC-F

The KTM 500 EXC-F has a strong racing heritage. If you prefer a lightweight bike with plenty of power and suspension that soaks up rough terrain, the enduro bike modified for adventure travel is perfect. This KTM 500 has a larger Acerbis tank, Seat Concepts bum protector, rally tower for GPS and powering devices, larger rear sprocket, windscreen and more. Inspired by RTW Paul’s KTM 500, it is a racing machine custom made for adventure expeditions.

Ducati Desert X

This is the Ducati Desert X. For many years Ducati made the Multistrada as their adventure bike, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for serious off roaders. The Ducati Desert X is a purpose made adventure bike and no compromises were made in its development. The suspension is top of the line, the handling is light and agile, abs and traction control are very refined and helpful, but ABS and traction control can both be easily disengaged. The engine is so smooth and quiet as highway speeds it can barely be felt, yet it is exceptionally responsive. The Desert X is an engineering gem that has really upped the competition in the adventure riding world.

Ducati Desert Rally
Ducati Desert X Rally

The Ducati Desert X Rally is a more capable version of the already very capable Desert X. With KBY suspension, higher front fender, Öhlins adjustable steering damper, Excel rims with tubed tires and more the Rally comes factory specced with lots of off road goodies, but handles really well on the tarmac too! Light rims, 110 horses, completely programable modes, and much more make it the best overall race bike in the adventure category. The Desert X Rally, almost stock, with just an aftermarket tank, came in second place in the 2024 Pro Rally Class in the Baja 1000. This is a serious bike for some serious fun!

Suzuki DR650
Suzuki DR650

The Suzuki DR 650 is a little tank that never dies. Our adventure riding started on this little bike. This little beast has done the TransAmerica Trail twice, and helped create the entire southern half of the TransMexico Trail (ridemex). It has served as our little workhorse for many years! If you want a lighter weight, shorter but rugged bike, the good ole DR is a good choice.

BMW 1250 GS Adventure

The BMW 1250 Adventure R, a bike that needs little introduction, the modern day version of the BMW R 80 GS, the world’s first bike made for dirt and pavement. That is to say, the world’s first adventure bike. The 1250 has a low center of gravity with its twin cylinder boxer engine, impeccable pavement handling and good off road manners. It has long been an adventure rider’s dream bike.
